Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc partnered with XGD Media to create one of Hong Kong’s most innovative outdoor advertising executions: a live countdown billboard at 26W featuring real-time dynamic content triggers. The campaign won a Spark Award for Best Media Campaign – Out-of-Home/DOOH.
To achieve Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc’s festive season objectives, XGD Media coded a fully automated special-purpose built-in programme that automatically alternated between different creatives while displaying a New Year’s countdown timer programmed to the world clock for millisecond accuracy. To amplify the campaign’s physical impact, XGD Media added a static solid sticker extension that increased the original billboard size by over 200%, creating a dramatic three-dimensional presence at the Lan Kwai Fong entrance.
This campaign demonstrated the creative possibilities that XGD Media's technology platform unlocks — going beyond simple video playback to create responsive, data-driven outdoor advertising experiences. The combination of automated creative rotation, precision-timed countdown, and physical sticker extension was a first for outdoor advertising in Hong Kong and established XGD Media's reputation for dynamic content innovation.
